Koran Burning: Bad Idea

I can’t see any good coming  from torching a copy of the Koran.  I do however think that Pastor Jones (the guy who plans on burning the Koran)  wants to sell his newly released book on Islam.  It’s a publicity stunt!

Carl Trueman writes a brief article here about the Pastor of the Dove World Outreach Center.  Isn’t a dove supposed to symbolize peace??

I don’t understand why the news media gives this guy any attention at all. Wouldn’t it be better if everyone ignored him? Just as burning the Koran draws attention to the Koran, so talking about this idiot merely gives him the attention he craves. Now even I’m doing it!

I pray the Muslim world understands that everyone here thinks this fellow is already discredited by the size of his sideburns.

I do ‘not’ agree with the Koran burning in Florida by that Pastor. But it is a big hypocritical double standard when President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Stephen Harper, etc. speak out against this, condeming this which they should. ‘But’ nothing(not a word) is said by world leaders in public condeming the banning, confiscation, and/or destruction of Christian Bibles in Saudi Arabia, Iran, North Korea, Bhutan, Myanmar, etc.

In case you did not know Christian Bibles are banned by law by the Saudi Arabian government(and some other governements). If a person is caught in public with a Christian Bible it is taken away(confiscated) and person can be charged with an offence by the government there. Where is the condeming of this also in public by Presidents, Prime Ministers, etc.? It ‘is’ a big hypocritical double standard by world leaders!
