About Andrew

jill-i

My greatest treasure in life is Jesus Christ, and it is my aim to follow after Him. I am thankful for the Spirit’s work who drew me to God and gives me any measure of hope in living like Jesus.

I’ve been joyfully married to Jill since 1990, and have 3 kids.

I’m a Co-Pastor in Grand Ledge, MI at Grand Ledge Baptist Church and a graduate of Moody Bible Institute.

I’ve served in two churches since 1994 – one in North Uxbridge, MA, and my present congregation near Lansing, MI.

Here are a few pictures of my family:

Dear Pastor Andrew Ford: Thank you so much for your kind remarks received two weeks ago. We just arrived back home two nights ago after a wonderful trip visiting churches, family, and former coworker, travelling 3000 miles in all. Thank you for the time you spent with us encouraging us with what God is doing at GLBC. Thanks too, for pix of your family. May His blessing continue on your ministry.

Now wait! You live in Mi but you allow your son to openly wear an worthless nut hoody? I hope I didn’t offend you. I’m a Pa. boy who lives in Mi (Near GR) and I have all my PSU gear. My wife is from Ohio and she cheers for OSU, at least in theory. Found your blog from Doc Wittmer.

My boy gets his Ohio loyalties from his Mom – born and raised in Ohio!

    Poor Kid,
It happened to my middle daughter. She actually cheers for the Indians. I’m still debating the whole “out of the will” thing. :)

I just can’t take this thread any more!! Caleb is a fine young man who happens to cheer for the greatest college football team in the history of the world (okay, that is an overreaction, but not too much!). Andrew, I’m proud of you. Joe, your wife sounds wonderful.

    Hey Guys,

I just found your site after reading Mike Wittmer’s blog…I was so psyched to find that you’re from Grand Ledge! I’m the co-author of a book called “Why We’re Not Emergent: By Two Guys Who Should Be” (Moody), along with a few sports books.

My wife and I have lived in Grand Ledge for about a year and a half…still go to church at URC in East Lansing. At any rate, keep up the great work…and we should grab a coffee or Cugino’s or something sometime…hit me up at ted@tedkluck.com. Or feel free to visit my blog at http://www.tedkluck.com/blog1.

    Best,
    Ted

Andrew, then where does your family get this whole crazy loyalty to the Packers from?

Packers: Jill’s Father’s “big brothers” did some work in Green Bay back in the day (1965) and so it’s a family thing. I had to sign a prenuptial Packer agreement to marry Jill swearing off all allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Museum that holds it might have to give you permission – I’m not sure if it is in the public domain.
