Where Are They Now?

I was born in 1972, so the 80s were perhaps the most formative decade of my life. 80s culture, and particularly 80s music, still makes me smile. This is why I love to hear stories about where some of the most popular artists of the 80s are today. It is particularly nice to hear of one especially raunchy (though I didn’t realize it at the time) artist who has become a follower of Jesus Christ. Yes, the Lord has found “Salt” of “Salt-N-Pepa.”

Here is a wonderful article from Christianity Today that provides a summary of Salt’s relationship with God. But more than simply a personal testimony, the article describes how Salt is actively pursuing reconciliation with “Pepa” on a new VH1 reality show. Although I don’t have VH1 (I don’t have cable), I’m glad to hear that its viewers will be privy to the gospel of reconciliation.

“Pump up the jam” my friend. I hope she can push for reconciliation, “Push it real good”.
