Pastors: More than Religious Careerism

I just started reading Eugene Peterson’s Under the Unpredictable Plant: An Exploration in Vocational Holiness. In the words of Mrs. Patterson (my 5-year-old daughter’s kindergarten teacher): it “knocks my socks off.” If you are a pastor, this is a must read. I’ll provide brief excerpts for your edification.

GodTube!?!

And the winner for the fastest growing website on the internet…GodTube.com. Growing at an amazing 1000% this year, GodTube is a Christian version of YouTube featuring over 800,000 hours of videos, social networking, and Christian news in English and Spanish. It is quite a phenomenon (see a summary on ABC’s Nightline). But I can’t decide, is GodTube an inspiration or a cop-out?
