An Emerging Theological Method
October 5, 2007 — Brian McLaughlinEvangelicals are people of the Bible. We use the Bible for any number of reasons, one of which is to construct our thoughts on God (i.e., our theology). But we often don’t think about how we use the Bible to construct our theology, we “just do it.” Alister McGrath says “evangelicals have not paid adequate attention to the issue of theological method” (Evangelical Futures, 15). To top it all off, some within the Emerging Church Movement have been telling us that we’ve done it all wrong! So what is an evangelical to do?
